If you picked the mailman, here's the answer to why it was him: The mail man was infuriated at the fact Steven was making something that would put him out of a job. This is a good motive. He decided, since he needed money, that he should attempt to stop Stevne from making the thing that would fire him from his job, that he should kill him. He lost his red hat a while ago but no witnesses have said that this is true. This does not mean that it isn't true. He wears acrylic nails and when handling things like knifes or letters-or anything else, it can be easy to break them if you do not apply enough glue. Possibly, he could not have applied enough glue to keep them on, causing them to fall off. The reason he couldn't have put on enough is because the glue was squirted on the floor. There you go, your reason. Do not ask why I am good at this. I am not a murderer. I promise. I am a non-official detective. If I am wrong, that doesn't mean I get it wrong in real life. I just could have in this game-which I do not think was made a professional murderer-I hope-or a detective. :)
